The garage door is usually the largest opening in the house and often the weakest point in a wind event.
If the door fails in high wind, pressure enters the structure and the load transfers to the roof. Wind-rated and reinforced doors exist for exactly this reason. If you are replacing a door in this metro anyway, the reinforcement question is worth asking rather than defaulting to the cheapest panel.
