October: Get the Door Ready Before the First Freeze
The single most useful month of the year for a Wichita garage door.
Everything that fails in January is cheaper to fix in October. Replace the bottom seal if it no longer compresses when you press it - a hard seal freezes to the slab and tears. Get a balance test done: if a spring is tired, this is when you want to find out, not on a cold morning with your car behind the door. Clear the summer grit out of the track while it is still comfortable to work.
